Here is our current project in Santa Cruz, CA. We are turning the negative circumstance of a small fire which partially burned the owner's garage and we are now converting it into an apartment! A source of revenue for the homeowner.

This was unfinished space off of two bedrooms. We realized that it could be converted into a kitchen and the walk-in-closet off one of the bedrooms could be converted into a separate entrance to the house, creating a separate living space, or ADU. Success!

This sidiing was originally poorly installed. We assumed that the installers cut and measured it square, however the framing of the house wasn't.

We removed the original siding and applied a waterproof membrane, bringing it right up beneath the window flange, and reconfigured the flashing. This is the proper way to address the leaks. The window did not originally have any flashing paper beneath it, and therefore leaked. New siding was installed. All screwholes have been caulked and primed.
